How Often Should You Do Pilates?

It is one of the most common questions we hear: how often should I do Pilates? The honest answer is that there is no single right number. The best routine is one that fits your life and that you can keep up.
Here is a simple way to think about it, along with the options Beau Monde Pilates offers in Miami Beach.
Is there a "right" number of Pilates classes per week?
Not really. People come to Pilates for different reasons, with different schedules and different starting points. Some like one class a week as a steady anchor. Others prefer several.
Many people find that coming regularly makes it easier to learn the movements and feel at home in class. A routine you can keep up week after week is often more useful than squeezing in as many sessions as possible at once.
If you have a health condition, an injury, or are pregnant, check with your healthcare provider about what is right for you.
How should you start if you are new?
If you are just starting out, begin with a pace that feels manageable, such as one or two classes a week. That gives you time to get to know the method and notice how your body feels between classes.
All of our classes are open to all levels, including beginners. Our instructors are trained in both classical and contemporary Pilates, and they give guidance and modifications throughout.
At our South of Fifth reformer studio, new clients can start with our New Client Intro Offer: 3 classes for $99. It is an easy way to try a few classes before deciding on a routine.
As Cameron O. wrote in a Google review: "I’ve been loving every class. … I always leave feeling stronger and more energized."
Which option fits your routine?
Once you have a sense of how often you would like to come, choose the option that matches.

How do you make a routine stick?
A few simple habits help:
- Book ahead. Buying a pack or membership does not book a class. Pick your times on the schedule or in the Beau Monde Pilates app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
- Choose times you can keep. Our policy is to cancel at least 24 hours before class to avoid charges. Late cancellations may be subject to a $25 fee.
- Arrive early. Plan to arrive 10 minutes before class starts.
